In January 2024, WHOI's R/V Atlantis, recently out of dry dock, embarked on a 5-day calibration cruise from San Diego. This voyage, funded by the NSF and facilitated by UNOLS, served as a valuable training opportunity for marine technicians from various esteemed institutions, including SIO, WHOI, UTIG, LDEO, and OSU. The OCEEMlab team joined this cruise to broaden our technical skills and deepening our understanding of the Sonardyne GyroUSBL navigation system.
